John Gerard: A Blamazing Escape!

Dive into the past and experience the ultimate escape story! This lesson series ‘A Blamazing Escape’, is a dynamic, interactive set of lessons covering oracy, drama, language skills and a dash of history, made in collaboration with the blamazing folk at Historic Royal Palaces!
Children will develop knowledge of the Tower of London and its function as a prison, focusing on the escape of the indomitable John Gerard. They will learn about his fascinating story and develop skills in storytelling, discussion and drama, in the context of the Tudor period and Elizabeth I’s reign.
